Schneider-Kreuznach releases Slim, Light, Advanced Variable ND Filter
The variable neutral density effect is achieved by stacking highly neutral grey polarizing filters within a filter cell and rotating them to block the desired amount of light.
● New evolution of the True-Match Vari-ND® Series from Schneider-Kreuznach
● 1.5 to 11.5-stops of precise exposure control
● Refined design with a slimmer profile and lighter weight
● New front filter thread for caps and accessories
● More Neutral Than Ever
The True-Match Vari-ND® MKII is the company’s most neutral, extensive, and sophisticated variable ND (VND) filter to date. The Schneider True-Match Vari-ND® MKII features a rotating ring for precise light control from ND 0.45 to ND 3.45 (1.5 to 11.5 stops) and will be available in 77mm and 82mm filter sizes at launch.
Despite its double-frame structure, the Schneider True-Match Vari-ND® MKII employs a slim profile, just 5.9mm, to prevent vignetting. With 1.5 to 11.5 stops of light blocking power, still photographers and filmmakers can minimize gear by carrying the Schneider True-Match Vari-ND® MKII with them on every shoot.
